Yaaay Naro got in and Congratulations to all the other selected participants But wait? But why is AKWAEKE EMEZI on the list. She already went for the Caine prize workshop. She’s already like an expert writer. I don’t think this is fair.
I am left out! So sad.
gud job.wonderd wether they were selected by merit.goodluck
Beautiful! Very beautiful!
Does farafina books select applicants from other states like, the northern states? I believe giving applicants resident up north will benefit a great deal because such individuals will be able to impact on others what they will learn.
Applicants are selected from all parts of the country and beyond.
on what specific criterias were these participants selected
Participants were selected based on the merits of their application.
Great opportunity.
Congratulations to you all that made it,especially to those I personally asked to apply.Though I wasn’t selected probably because of my out-of-lagos address(Abuja currently),and or because of my no background in the English Language as a non-english graduate from other courses,science-based to be precise, but am so happy for my friends who were selected as in above, whom I gave the link and persuaded them to apply for same.Go and make us proud. How I wish more people will be added to the short list.At least to give people like me,non-arts graduates, who enjoy writing, the opportunity to explode literary, especially in content, form and [email protected] ALL
Niyi *Ademoroti, not Ademorati.
Thank you.
Congrats Guys! Mimisule, Abeg leave the poor girl alone Jo. She must think she isnt that good to have applied. She wanted in bad enough, she got in. Congrats Akwaeke!
I really want to believe the work shop selection was fair but I don’t not withstanding good luck to those that were picked
Unfortunately I was not picked. I wish myself better luck next time. Congratulations to you all!
Will the Farafina evening be on that 26th?
Most likely. We will confirm the date on our blog.
You need to have SOME sort of talent to get into the workshop so all picks are well deserved. If you didn’t get picked, you probably need more time to brush up on your skills and your application wasn’t as good as others. Show good sportsmanship and don’t be upset that people with obvious potential surpassed others. The people who applied did so because they know they’re good and talented people never stop working on their craft. Congrats to all!
Sad I did not get in. Smiles Karanja did. Next time maybe. Congratulations to the rest
I am really happy because I received an email today saying my entry was one of the shortlist of 70. I also was on the shortlist last year but I didn’t get accepted. The first time I applied was in 2012 and I didn’t even make it to the short list. I’ve applied 3 times so far. I am excited about applying next year. Never give up and try hard and harder.
Please what time is the Farafina evening event that’s open to the public, this Friday and also the venue?
The details will be announced on our blog soon.
Good luck to everyone that made it.. I see myself making it next year!!
