Aduke Gomez

Aduke started her career as a legal practitioner and later worked for many years occupying various leadership roles in different organisations. Her published collection of poems was featured as a festival book for both the Lagos Book and Art Festival 2017 and the Ake Festival 2017. Her children’s book “Lost And Found In Lagos” published in 2018 is the first in the series of “The Adventures of Lara and Dara”, a collaboration with Biola Alabi Media and was selected as one of Channels Book Club Top Twenty Books in 2019. She is delighted to have participated in the Children’s Writing Workshop organised by the Goethe Institute Nigeria.

Bukola Ayinde

Bukola Ayinde Bisi has a new dog, Teeny, who is different from the other dogs. Teeny has only two legs so he cannot play or rollover like the other dogs. The children in the neighbourhood also make fun of him because he is different. One of the children gets into trouble one day and teeny does something remarkable to save him.

Funmi Ilori

Funmi Ilori has authored seven children’s books including the bestselling ‘My iReflect Journal’, an inspirational book which sparks creative writing skills in young children. Funmi has a masters degree in educational psychology and she is the founder of iRead Mobile Library, the foremost innovative ‘books on wheels’ for children in Nigeria. She is a Mandela Washington Fellow, a literary coach and director of Education at iRise Model School, Lagos. Funmi’s interest in the early-years foundation has spurred her to create thirteen short phonics stories that are yet to be published but used by preschool educators in her network.

Hadiza Mohammed

Hadiza Mohammed is the author of the children’s book My Life as an Almajiri. Her short stories and nonfiction have appeared in Brittle Paper, The Different Shades of a Feminine Mind, Praxis Magazine, and Saraba. Hadiza is a medical laboratory scientist. She was featured as a guest author from around the world in Anansesem-the Caribbean Children’s Literature Ezine. She took part in the story makers’ workshop for children authors and illustrators organised by Goethe Institut and facilitated by Abdulkareem Baba Aminu and Ute Krause in 2019 and 2020. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Ugo Anidi

Ugo Anidi

Ugo Anidi is mad about all things children’s books! She reads, writes and reviews loads of them on her blog at ugoanidi.com, where she also teaches a magical programme on writing for children. In her “other” life, she is a lecturer in law at the University of Nigeria and she plays a mean game of scrabble. She shares her home in Lagos, Nigeria, with her husband, three sons, 500 books and the characters in her head. her next book, The Missing Chicken is forthcoming from Farafina.
