Lami And The Singing Fish

Synopsis

Lami lives in a fishing village with her single father Baba. One day Baba caught a Fish so he asked Lami to clean it. To Lami’s surprise, the Fish began to sing to her and asked for a favour. In return, the Fish promised to give her the treasures of the river. Lami must decide whether to grant the Fish its request or forgo the treasures of the river.

She was featured as a guest author from around the world in Anansesem-the Caribbean Children’s Literature Ezine. She took part in the story makers’ workshop for children authors and illustrators organised by Goethe Institut and facilitated by Abdulkareem Baba Aminu and Ute Krause in 2019 and 2020. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
